You have had problem with your server, and you have noticed a 40 hours blackout.
Are you sure your server is responsive enough?
I had to move a site from a host provider to another: Google's robots (and other as well) had troubles every time they were visiting my site.
My suggestion: take a last check by applying the following
1 - Create a sitemap.xml with ONLY the main pages of your site.
Rationale:
- creating a sitemap speeds up site discovery by robots, and it can be submitted independently to webmasters' tools from GG, YAH and MS. You will "seed" your main pages
- normally, your sitemap should include all of your pages BUT until the host performance is fully evaluated, and considering the history, you should keep your sitemap file as small as possible, so that there are less chances that reading the file will fail
2 - If you have a robots.txt file, rename or remove it
Rationale:
- before spidering a page, robots check in robots.txt file if this allowed; so this file, if present, is read often.
- if robots.txt is absent, the robots get a "missing file" message which in this case means "no restriction"; if the file is present and has a problem when reading... no html page will be spidered.
3 - Look at GG webmasters' tools (WMT) to check what is happening on spidering your files (note: errors are usually reported only after 48 hours)
If after 1 week GG WMT still report errors, switch host. If most errors have disappeared, create a complete sitemap and submit it to WMT from GG, YAH and MS.
Regularly check GG WMT reports. If too many errors... switch host.
HOW TO SWITCH HOSTS
The problem with switching hosts is that you want to keep whichever ranking you had for your pages.
- You site is currently on host A and you call it by www.mydomain.com
- You plan to switch it to siteB, where it will be called by www.mydomain.com... but only when all DNSes will be updated. In the meantime, you can point to it by www.myhostB.com/somedir/
- edit .htaccess in your root directory on hostA and create a 302 redirect ('temporary' - do NOT use a 301 in this case!) to the equivalent page on www.myhostB.com/somedir/
- change your DNS records so that instead of pointing to hostA they point to hostB
- for some time queries pointing to www.mydomain.com/somepage will be redirected yo www.myhostB.com/somedir/somepage
- after 48 hours all queries will directly go to hostB , but leave the redirection active for at least 1 week
NOTES:
- depending on your net access, and more specifically to its DNS updates, "your" access to mydomain.com might give you access to hostB quite sooner or quite later than the average: if after 48h it seems you are still pointing to the old address:
a - open a dos box or equivalent. issue the following commands
ipconfig /flushdns
ping www.myhostB.com
ping www.mydomain.com
if the IP addresses for both host are the same... then (at least for you) the new DNS is working.
b - If they are different and you made the change more than 48h ago, go to another computer with a different Internet access provider (and thus different DNSes), and make the same checks. If they are still negative, then check the DNS changes you made: do they look OK? if no, edit/change. if yes... ask for assistance from your hostB provider

Hi
Please share your domain name to analyse and to find out the factors
responsible for drop in rank.
If your website was down for 40 hours, your ranks will go down by max
30 - 40 rank positions, which can be recoverable.
