You should consider a single site with different CSS.
Based on screen dimensions(if you can get them thru javascript), you would select one or the other.

Hi,

I'm considering creating an electronics website that helps people pick
one of the following:
-High-def TVs
-Notebook computers
-Blu-ray players
-smart phones
-MP3 player (ipod clones)

I'm considering 2 options:
-Have 6 separate websites featuring product recommendations for each
product category, linked by a sort of directory site,  ---OR----
-Have a single website with all of my product recommendations.
