Re: Do Follow links

Are you asking for advice or are you asking for links. If you are asking for links that will end you up in Google jail. If you want advice the easiest way to achieve high pr create a logical structure for your site navigation like everything should link to your home page and your home page should link to other quality content not every page in your site

Site still violating the qaulity guidelines, why?

Hello,

I made a 301 redirect from http://www.myddnetwork.com/clothing-shoes-accessories/ (all the pages in this directory) to a new domain: http://www.newclothing.co/ (in order to separate niches).

The original site (http://www.myddnetwork.com) never was penalized, but the new site (http://www.newclothing.co) was penalized three days after the change (Jun. 25 / 2011)

I have made a lot of changes in the new site, including deleting low-value pages, taking out links, and placing "nofollow" on external links.

I have sent three reconsideration requests to Google and at this time, Google still saying my site is violating the quality guidelines. (A  CONFIRMED PENALTY)

This is really frustrating. All the rankings of this site is beyond of the page 5 in the SERPS.

Today has been 30 days since the penalty, so apparently this is not a typical 30-days time-out from Google for minor issues.

Please, help me.

Why my site is still violating the quality guidelines?

Re: Simple question

To answer your last question first, Google says they treat all domain
extensions the same.
While they do, people don't. .com is usually the first choice when
typing in an URL.

I would go with a trial. Get your keyword rich domain and build a
store.
Here you have 2 choices.
You can have both stores use the same database or separate them.
Separation means more work, combined might mean duplicate content.

First, I would do the SEO work as this will show you what HAS to be
done to get top listings.
The domain name alone will not put you at the top.

SEO has consistently shown to have the highest ROI of any marketing
plan.

If you are going to go with the multiple sites plan, pick niches and
get the primary keywords in the domain name.
Forget "COOL" Think relevance to what you are selling".

As for the traffic, you need to think conversions rather than amount.
While deflecting traffic from your main site, a niche site would carry
more impact, and have higher conversions than a site that covers a
multitude of products.
Easier to get top SERPs also.

Messenger. (No obligation)

Re: How can I increase my web site traffic.

You need to think SEO.
You also need to consider punctuation and structure of text.
The "Wall of text" chases away any visitors you might get.

Re: Simple question

Hello Luis,

I guess you have sufficient traffic but low conversion rate (Sales per
100 visitors)

Actually, most of the SEO expert do the same mistake again and again.

Website conversion rate depends on "Targeted Keyword". Your SEO expert
may have selected targeted keyword for traffic but he missed the
"Targeted Keyword" which actually make sales.

I faced the same problem with one of my website. The solution was
"Keyword Research". I used "Targeted Keywords" for my website which
decreased a little bit of my website traffic but my conversion rate
was more compared to previous.

I have 2 year experience of SEO. If you are interested you may forward
your work to me. PM me if you are interested.

Re: Simple question

Definitely not recommended to have another website hosted only for the sake of fetching a website URL with a keyword on it.

YOu can invest effort on optimizing the current website. And also, think this way: even though the domain name in itself has no keyword in it, you can always construct a search engine friendly URL for the inner pages, category pages etc with the keyword in the folder/file names. For example, you have a perfume store by the name www.estore.com. You can have a URL like this for the men's fragrance page www.estore.com/mens-fragrances. You can tap the possibilities with the existing domain itself. And also, a keyword stuffed domain name is only one of the many known and unknown factors in search algorithm, and definitely not worth spending a lot of effort and worry.

It doesn't matter if it is a .net or .com. However, if you are targeting a specific geography, lets say the UK, then a .uk does help in ranking in the local searches. Again, this is not to be considered as the sole factor for ranking, but one of the many. But definitely one worth doing if you haven't thought about it.

Re: Simple question

"Somebody in the company thinks that buying just domain names that have keywords on the name and making another store with different design will lead to  more sales."

it is just wasting your time and money.

"What would you suggest in here?"

Use old one, and try to make a good navigation in your exist website

For example: www.yourwebsite.net/cell-phones/nokia
                    www.yourwebsite.net/cell-phones/nokia/nokia-n8.php
                    www.yourwebsite.net/laptops/dell/dell-inspiron-1545.php

Use these kind of structure if your webiste has different categories.

"our domain name is .net, is a .COM better ranked on google organic search results?"

Both are same, The matter is which has good and quality content with other google factors (550+ facts)

Depending on the accumulated links I disagree with moving to .com. One of the biggest competitors in my industry is cellphoneshop.net. They have many many number 1 rankings on google.  There are plenty more strong SEOd websites without .com extension.

Hello

We have a website store for about 4 years and even though it doesnt have the best SEO implemented on it, we have a lot of visits coming from google, msn, etc.

Somebody in the company thinks that buying just domain names that have keywords on the name and making another store with different design will lead to  more sales.

According to what I have read about the Google Page Ranking,  having the keyword in the domain name its just a small ranking factor, and not good enough to make it appear in the top 10 results.

What would you suggest in here?

Invest time and effort to make about 10 different stores just because the domain name is COOL and has an important keyword on it:?
Or maybe its better to just use the same site we have had for years and DO SEO to it.

2nd.  our domain name is .net, is a .COM better ranked on google organic search results?
