priority based on how many links there are to them from reputable
sites. So in a way, you could think of it as - each link counts as a
point in a sites favour.
nofollow links aren't counted, so a site gets no points for nofollow
links.
So if you're linking to a site you dislike (for whatever reason),
giving it a nofollow ensures that that site doesn't benefit in SEO
rankings from the fact you've made a link to it.
