Re: Optimized DN make a difference?

I would guess you would need to be more specific with what terms such
as "optimised from here to eternity" mean exactly.

Algorithms used to determine pagerank are not public, but it is known
that search engines have mechanisms in their algorithms which actively
penalise sites for practices their automated system "thinks" could be
used to "cheat" the system. Black-hat SEO methods can be difficult to
detect, so false positives are possible I'm sure, perhaps common.
Could it be simply that something in your "optimisation from here to
eternity" is being perceived by SEs as "over-zealous".

Particularly when you say the competition has a smaller site, a "plain
little site", makes me think your site may be being perceived as being
over-optimised. "Simple" is not always a bad thing.

On the other hand, without seeing your site one can't be sure and my
guesses above could be completely off the mark. It may be entirely
related to botox.
