and I'll recommand to add extensions .php or .html like,
www.sitename.com/basketball-shoes/nike/12345a.php
OR
www.sitename.com/basketball-shoes/nike/12345a.html
I have seen major websites using extensions are ranking well compared
to those which aren't.
