Re: Alt content and violation of google rules

Not sure if you would violate any GG rule and so get penalized.

What is sure is that you are neglecting referencement rules and that most robots might simply not understand your site, thinking it is just made of a single page.

So consider that:
- having a single-page site is a VERY BAD IDEA
-- for human visitors: they cannot bookmark, they cannot refresh (as bad as with frames)
-- for robots: how do you expect them to understand when readingf a single page that it is a proxy for 20 pages?
- you canNOT consider "flash-only" navigation, because it hides the other pages. If you want to use a Flash navigation, DO COMPLEMENT IT with a "pure html" navigation ("javascript-only" would be as bad as flash-only)
- and sonce you will be creating one page per swf, each swf will have a good alt content.

Note that there is a swf handling javascript extesnion which allows you to
1 - load the page as pure html
2 - If javascript is enabled, display swf instead of the alt.
This is the option I would recommend to have at the same time the nice look of a flash and the basic navigation needed by visitors, whthere human or robots.

Hello!
My website is made of 1 main INDEX.SWF that calls into a container
the
other swf's (bio.swf, video.swf ecc).
I use SWFobject to add the alt content in the HTML file.

My question:
If I write the INDEX.HTML file in a way it will contain the alt
content of ALL the pages in the site (instead of writing a separate
HTML for every web page) , will it be a violation of google rules?

Thanks!
Ori
