Hello everyone,
I currently run 2 CMS's and want to find a way to fuse the functionality into a single CMS that will support both my regular company website and a blog. Does any one have any thoughts on this? Am I correct in my thinking? I'm tired of having effectively 2 different sites, separate designs, separate technologies, imperfect sitemaps, different plugins/addons for optimization, different URL/Permalink structures, etc. It is a huge headache and I want something better...
The reason for this is that I want to improve:
Single layout/design site & blog wide
Single consistent navigation across both website and blog
Ability to have cross list content from blog and website
Single set of SEO
Single site wide URL structure or permalink structure
Single sitemap
Lessen my vulnerability exposure (1 CMS vs. 2)
Etc. etc..
So what are your thoughts? What CMS should I standardize on and why is it best for both my website AND my blog in terms of all around content management and SEO/SEM? Currently under evaluation I am looking at Drupal, Wordpress and Joomla... Any thoughts?
