I have a main domain name, sellmytv.com and want to target local
markets with my service as a result purchased multiple domain names,
e.g. sellmytvboston.com, sellmytvchicago.com, sellmytvcolumbus.com
ect, you get the idea...
Approach #1:
So I want to duplicate my main site content (sellmytv.com) onto the
multiple unique domains listed above where only the Contact Us page
will be unique the rest of the content will be all the same across the
different domains...
Approach #2
--OR-- I want to use sub-domains to market my service in local
markets, e.g. boston.sellmytv.com, chicago.sellmytv.com,
columbus.sellmytv.com again the content with the exception of the
Contact Us page will be all the same
Will I be penalized by Google for going with either one or both of the
above to processes, is one better than the other?? I'm not too
concerned about hosting or development, I'm purely interested from SEO
perspective what the implications would be.
Also if subfolders is a better option that the above 2 approaches
(e.g. sellmytv.com/boston, sellmytv.com/chicago, ect), but PLEASE
motivate and if you have references to backup your comment I would
appreciate that.
Tks,
CK
