How fussy do you have to be when using the validator tool? Many errors on www sites.

Many sites I am looking at, even bank sites and seo sites have errors
when you check them with the validator.
This is my clients site http://www.tlcminerals.com 25 errors
acccording to the validator.
How fussy do you have to be? The web site should be to W3 standards
but some level of errors is exeptable no?
Only a very few sites pass the validator test. Like bbc,wiki even
Google has errors. So when using this tool have fussy do you have to
be is what I need to know and if anybody can help thanks in advance.
